I don’t use AI for my grad school classwork for a lot of reasons, but someone made a discussion post last week that still included the “here’s your apa style paragraphs…” and not having to worry about doing that is definitely up there.

I guess there’s something freeing about being told that no one cares about my ideas and 2 decades of experience because I’m not a lead. Prepare for no thoughts, head empty coasting.

It’s actually kind of funny that if you have good hair/skin/health, etc. people almost always say it’s good genetics in addition to whatever work you might put in, but if the opposite is true people seem to automatically assume there’s some moral failing.

My coworker is 79, and sometimes I wonder how she takes so much longer to complete work than I do, but then I periodically remember that whenever she’s writing an email, she still breaks out a physical dictionary as if the entire internet isn’t right in front of her.

One of my dogs hates baths so much that we can barely make ourselves do it and certainly not as often as we should because it is *always* an ordeal, and we decided this time to take him to the self wash at tractor supply, and truly it was the best $10 we’ve ever spent.

Looking at all the discussion posts in my graduate statistics class, I think my professor is so relieved I’m very clearly not using ChatGPT that he’s just giving me excellent grades even tho I’m very much phoning it in
