The fact that people have posted this picture about Biden administration who basically ended the drone strikes just tells you one thing:

It isn't really. I work in a company that does fraud prevention.
Our clients want to make sure that all of their users are genuine. They pay us a lot of money for that. If it was easy, we wouldn't exist.

But I read the article again, and it seems these guys weren't doing the scamming themselves, but selling registered accounts on social media to scammers.
Think APP scams like fake tech support, pig butchering or celebrity lover scam.

I suspect the investigation will uncover some other fraud, because this income is ludicrously small for this scale of operation.
