Been through a long stretch of everything going wrong. Really struggling at the moment which has impacted writing. I've got a story largely written - I just need time to finish it and set it free.

Finished writing a chapter and then decided to change the pov of it to a different character because I felt some of the information revealed by the first character would work better later in the story.

Ten days in, 9 chapters and 25000 words written. About 25% of the way through according to what I have plotted. Lots of editing is needed, but I'm happy with the progress.

I've hit the point in the romantasy where feelings start to develop, but there are complications. Of course there are. One of them has been struck with a curse which feeds off emotions, and they aren't sure what any feelings will do to it.

I know what I write doesn't appeal for some - there are genres I have no interest in reading, but if others enjoy it, good for them. It doesn't hurt me.

As long as it is labelled correctly.

So where I last left off, the FMC was falling asleep in the ancient, aware forest, being watched by creatures with too many eyes, as the fire burned out, in the presence of her mortal enemy who was being devoured body and soul by cursed runes of unknown origin and purpose.

But of late I've had some time on my hands, so I started getting back into the writing and it is going well. I've read a lot of YA romance and fantasy through my work - romance especially geared towards the geeky side of things, or set in libraries/bookshop, or involving food.

A little about me. I've always dreamed of being a writer but it hasn't come to pass yet. In the meantime I work in a library, which is really a close second best, even if seeing all the new books come in come spark some minor jealousy.
