I miss her! Followed her writings for years, never met her, but I felt her loss deeply. Thankful for her still.

Yes! A woman’s voice would have helped the conversation. Their emphasis was 1. Changes in child-mortality rates and 2. Choosing the number of children based on what a couple can cope with.
I was thinking - the woman’s body! Mention her body! Mention her health and life!

Well done to all of you who had the stomach to read it. Can’t get past the headline myself!

Have you read “Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation” by Kristin Kobes Du Mez?
I think patriarchy under the guise of evangelical Christianity has played a major role in the U.S.
The % of white evangelicals that vote for Trump is astounding.

That is so very true! I hadn’t thought of it like that, but you are exactly right.

According to that movie, just how tiny is LAX? Everything a minute away from everything else. Every door opening on to the scene of the action, every window overlooking it, every worker knowing every other. He wouldn’t be running that fast if he had to get from gate 12 to 78.

I have written zero books, am not a professor nor a pastor, but I sometimes preach in the little church I attend and seeing this list of sisters made me smile. Thank you for gathering here.

A very immoral monster of a man that somehow ends up head of the Church of England (or a figurehead for many American Christians).

A man surrounded by people who know he is terrible, but are terrified of the power he has to destroy them.
