Quiet..animate with an exposure sheet. May be a bit formidable in movie trivia.
TAITO Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is still the best Indiana Jones action game, because it recognizes the 'fight-ending' nature of the whip and doesn't throttle it in order to make the game easier.

Sure Indy uses fists in movies, but I should at least have the opportunity for the bullwhip.

Discalcia in a nutshell-

You have a deity. You didn't create this deity, but you have to follow rules to change it..but also changing it into the wrong deity makes the exercise wrong. And the world worships the diety while at the same time worshipping its change- one from following the rules. +

Honestly..

I feel like the AI "see my short now!" feels like "Hey, you could have done this 20 years ago with stock footage!"

Just because you were probably trying to make a website work (this is difficult, respect for you then!) ya'll probably didn't think "Flowers bloom, fists curl, snow-GETTY!

The greatest trick the devil ever played was that plotholes (or the lack thereof) are significant of quality storytelling.

It's weird, but I think that Chris Nolan, the arbiter of production value, and Chris Nolan, the storyteller are almost one and the same.

Like, see The Odyssey in IMAX with plausible special effects!

I'm not saying Nolan couldn't make Following now, but in a way (more)

Jokes on ya'll, I'd not spend my life waiting for this to load on my dial-up internet. Those were tragic and hopeful days.

The AOL expired- okay, we'll just pop in another CD :P

Here's my thought..

AI stars/talent/agents..

I think uncredited VFX workers are going to have a lot of difficulty recreating a moment where a video-generating AI makes a sort of visual error, which I feel will be thrown under the bus. I also think there could be budgetary ramifications (more)

PACMAN 2 is more game than logic

Overhead shooter, point and click, Tomagotchi, TV miniseries..AAAND you could almost never control Pacman.

I like how Pacman sounds more on the Genesis, though the graphics and music are a lot better on the SNES.

I think I'll give the Dobson legacy off my chest. I think just as the secret society going after Franz Ferdinand spawned WWI, I believe that there was less "moustache twirling" and more of an obsessive sort of sincerity, as if the voice of his personal qualms were that of God himself (more)

Hey @moviessilently.bsky.social "G-rated Disney fairy tale film is viewed generally vs how it is viewed among conservative Christians who ban any mention of magic."

I didn't want to derail your account of the general audience and off-kilter comedy..but I just want to wonder (more)

I'll say it here so that I can avoid being to confrontational.

"JAWS is not a shark movie" is arguably the gateway argument to hack-y film analysis/criticism. I think having film analysis outside of the lines is difficult, hard to say what hasn't been said. (more)

Spicy idea- Hardware Wars is better than Spaceballs, (which is a bit of an unfair comparison, as one is a short, the other a feature) simply because the visibly low budget of 'Hardware' adds to the humor more than a film with strong production values.

That being said I'll watch Mel/Rick in II.

I have a pitch. Mr Normal is stuck in a land of James Bonds- Where's Waldo style. They're villainous, and he wonders how he got there.

Sort of the Bourne identity meets Being John Malchovitch meets Idiocracy with the tropes inverted.

Waiting for Amazon to seal the deal :P

I'm sure James Gunn's SUPERMAN will be a heartfelt, enjoyable romp.

Having said this, I HATE it when films name themselves films of an existing name, that aren't remakes.

THE SUPER MARIO BROS movie name implies there isn't one starring Bob Hoskins.

Mockbuster techniques + erasure.

You know, the meanest person on the planet probably said "WE SHOULD START THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK WITH A HELICOPTER OVERHEAD STOP(GO) MOTION fx shot."

I mean, it's probably Phil Tippet flexing, but this is less funny ;)

Having been raised by fundies, I didn't have access to the books, and the movies were out of the question.

I'm in the point in my life where I'm not seeking out Harry Potter, but if someone were to dump a bunch of books or the film adaptations on my doorstep, I'd probably read/watch them.

So however you handle the Rowling situation, it really isn't my business.

However, like in the last post, it would be like a 55-year-old man saying that he wrote interactive fiction games so that he could avoid installing Doom (93) on his OS.

I'm not pro-Rowling, I'm anti-revisionism.
April 15, 2025 at 11:52 AM
If I am breaking open a pinata, it isn't intentional.

I consider the Rowlingverse to be the Doom (93) of reactionist liberals.

But first..I'll provide context. I believe the years of 94-2000 provided a sort of phasing from the media of catridges to movie-esque CD games. (more)

Something I always liked about Pitfall: The Mayan adventure is how it could start with cinematic expression and descend into unapologetic cartoonishness..like the jumping could be subtle, but then the uvula of a pagoda plant can allow for crazy bungee distortions. Should be ported to STEAM.

Okay, maybe this is the site where I post my "hot takes."

If Spielberg were to say, "AI is what's happening, and I'm hitching a ride on that train" he wouldn't magically enter "hack" status even though that would be a disappointing thought. (more)

Hey, this might be my most regrettable post here.

I don't like the character that JARJAR was, but I like how he forces Star Wars fans to reconcile the demographic and commercial value of the franchise.

I'm not a huge fan of the Jar, but I don't hate him. He "OHNOO'D" so Gollum could fly :P

Hey everyone.

I think Threads was actually a simple premise.

Take the ease of Facebook/Instagram..give more phonetic character limits, attempt a catered algorithm.

But the PornSpam bots and those trying to go full Thread/influencer were flaws early on, and what I think the site is haunted(more)

Mastodon users have to believe that the sun actually rises, for this.

I find it odd to flee Twitter (X, technically speaking) to join the doom and gloom user-base of Mastodon.

Sad, because I think Mastodon is good on paper.
