-Scedhule time for spiritual discipline: When we get busy, spiritual discipline isn't proritized anymore. In other words, going to church, bible studies, or even studying the bible on your own get replaced with other commitments. Make sure thst you always cultivate your relationship with God.

-Rest on the Sabbath day, or choose a day during the week to catch up on rest.

-Trust in God to guide you and lean on his strength instead of just your own. You might think that you can skip sleep and work all the time, but you can't. God knows that you need time to rest.

- Remember the verse Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days so that we may get a heart of wisdom.”

-Create a schedule at the beginning of the week and schedule blocks of time to do homework, take breaks, and other things you need/want to do.

Overall, I think the history of Instagram was interesting! I really enjoyed learning about how the founders bounced ideas off of each other to create the platform. As for the controversies, they don't really bother me because every social media app has them nowadays.

Earlier this year Meta, the company that now owns Instagram, had to issue an aplogy after several users reproted seeing a plethora of violent content. Some users even had issues with being recommended explicit content after setting Insta's Sensitive Content Control feature to the highest setting.

They added a "Shop" button next to "Post." The shop button allowed businesses to list their products and prices on the app and let customers scroll through their feed to imitate the online shopping experience. However this feature was removed in 2023 to make the app more user-friendly.

In August 2014, Instagram let businesses on the platform view "Insights," a feature that lets businesses track their weekly performance on Instagram. Fast-forward about six years, and Instagram adds even more features for businesses to advertise and measure progress!

That same year, Instagram was released in the Google Play Store and in June 2013 it introduced video-sharing functions which made it easier for users to like and share videos. They also released the private messaging tool known now as "DM's" later that year.

Instagram reached one million users within just months of its launch. As Instagram's popularity grew, many investors and buyers became interested in obtaining. In April 2012, Instagram was bought by Facebook for $1 billion in cash and stocks.

Systorms friend, Mike Kreiger, created a similar platform called "Meebo." They took concepts from each social media platform, and Instagram was born! The very first post was made by Kevin Systorm on July 16th, 2010. Instagrams official launch was on October 6th, 2010.

It all started when Kevin Systorm, a recent Stanford grad, created a site called "Burbn." It was named after his love of both whiskey and bourbon. Burbn was similar to Insta bc it let ppl post check-ins along with photos which was a new thing for social media at the time.
