I did also pay and beat the DLC which was more of the same. I liked the DLC bosses more overall. LOVED played as Chalice and I want to do my expert run with her instead of the bros. Sorry. Anyways, Phantom Express, Briney Beard, and Howling Aces my top 3 bosses

beat most bosses on regular, but I want to come back to them for expert mode sometime, but this wasn’t the year. I like more exploring than was in this game, but that’s not what this game was going for so I won’t knock it too hard for that. Overall pure fun throughout and 2/2 on secret santa games

This game was such a RUSH! I love a tough boss and this was all non stop action. It was a really nice challenge the whole way through, but there were always enough bosses available that I could jump around when things were too tough. Except when I was fighting Grimm (fuck that dragon). I only (cont)

good? I liked the 30 day limit and how, if I failed, it’d be only about 8 hours down. I didn’t and got all ship parts and have the sequel ready for next year but the NEED to play more was a little disconcerting tbh so I’m just gonna stick this in :) and move on

This game was very confusing (emotionally) for me. Crazy time of the year and I put a lot of that pent up energy into a three (real) day whirlwind through this game. I honestly don’t remember too much besides feeling compelled to keep playing one more day cycle for hours on end. Which is (cont)

very Mario (said without judgement). Just absolute fun all the way through. Didn’t reach any crazy highs for me but also no real lows, just fun through out. TTYD is top of my list for 2026

So cute, so fun! As my second ever RPG, I think I’m becoming converted. I have a few preferences that don’t align with this, but each of those were minor. I like each of the companions, but I prefer fully interchangeable parties, and I liked each area’s story, even if the overall story was (cont.)

What a cute little game! I really liked the modern advantages (a useful world map) that came with playing the remake. It made exploring Koholint a lot of fun, but I was a little disappointed by the dungeons. After the dungeons carried ALttP for me, these were underwhelming, outside of a few (cont.)

game. The true final boss was a top three boss all year, possibly even number 1. If I'd finished this game last year, it would've been my goty 2024, and this year it was until about a month ago. Still debating if it's 1 or 2 this year but with so many phenomenal games, I win in the end anyways

I started the year (and finished last) very strong. The combat was insane, the music even better, and the story was so touching. I did get stuck on and rage at a couple bosses (fuck those twins) but beating them was satisfying and I was never upset enough to take away from the rest of the (cont.)
