I think this is getting to the point the team has to just give up on the McCarthy experiment after this season.
Get a new GM, look to make a big move for QB in the draft this year or next to try again, but even if everything improves, it still wouldnt be close to good enough.

You absolutely have to play tighter coverage on that 3rd down play. Pressure won immediately and you still gave it up on a floater.

Its a down year, so be it, doesnt mean you have to be just inept in new ways on special teams weekly.
2 kickoff return fumbles 2 weeks ago, inability to cover a kickoff at the end of the game last week to lose, this punt nonsense now.

Somehow using a timeout because you couldnt run your 11th player off the field in time, a thing you dont want to do anyways, but then they just kicked the FG in both cases so it didnt matter at all, is the most sad way that couldve gone.

Youve got to be kidding me. Having to use a timeout there because of 12 men on the field, pathetic.

So, is this a game where we just really keep getting cut little by little on defense, or is this one of those games where they get destroyed the first drive or two and then all of a sudden only give up 3 more points from then til mid way through the 4th quarter?

Not a good sign we cant even execute a screen against the pass rush. Could be the last time we see the Vikings put points on the board for a good while.

I am exceedingly unconcerned about this game. We have seen so many absolute beat downs against Green Bay over the years, anything more than that is better than expected today.
Remember the last Ponder start in 2014 when Cassel and Teddy were out?
Or that Christmas one in 2022 with Kirk?

Think this is the first time this season I get to watch the Vikings with Greg Olsen, any other time wouldve been a home game I was at. At least Ill get good commentary today if nothing else.

Kind of hope Greenard takes another week and we get to see if Turner can repeat his performance against a team who isnt the Bears.
If so that would be encouraging, but also concerning that the team kept trying to force him into the Van Ginkel role when he was a pure pass rusher.
