Although I'm not sure if you also have to pick up Kurdan's sword or not to progress the story but if it is required then his sword disappeared and it's not in his inventory when he died

There is a bug with the mission caught in the hunt where it soft locks you from being able to continue the mission where if you loot Kurdan's body & get the key too quickly you don't get quest progress
