I stayed in UPLB for 6 years, thinking life would be easier after graduation.
It wasn’t. I waited over a year before I landed my first job.
But in the end, it took me 6 years just to finally wear the toga—and say:
“Madalas man sumablay, ngayon nakasablay na.”

Then came the shock: I failed my very first subject.
That one failure turned into more—I failed over 5 subjects, got dismissed, and had to fight my way back through readmission.
I worked as a student assistant to earn my own money.
