This is what part of my mother's Valentine's Day card said. I as a trans man do not know when or if I'll be hate crimed or killed. Statements like this should not have to be the forethought for ANYONE.

Give us (trans and queer people) our roses while we are still here. Stand by your family, guard your friends, build and defend community. You can save a life. Now more than ever we need our allies to speak and to act.
