and a Team Dinner is different than a meeting. Probably a much more relaxed atmosphere. Helps keep it from looking like an attack on each & more of a we are all in the same boat. A team is a pseudo family.

Ya, it's tough to tell. Just seems like a troubling pattern when you have young guys drafted that are the system for 2-3 years (Minott,Miller) & don't look anywhere near rotation players while wearing a Wolves uniform. Then have an old newbie like TJ who seems worse this year in his limited time.

Is their development what it was because they were already getting minutes when he come on & he rolled with it because he was entering a tenuous situation? Would he have treated them the same if they were rookies a year or 2 later? Remember bad shot chucking rookie Ant. Would his arc be the same?

Also, the 48 win pace is gonna change soon if they can only beat sub .500 teams. The West is brutal. They should have come into the season a well oiled machine. Not one that looks like it could seize up at any moment.

I'm not saying they should fire him, not right now. As much as I find the underwhelming play & lack of urgency they show disappointing, what worries me most about Finch the proven lack of development for young players. Not every pick since he's been hired can be that bad, can they?

As long as Finch is coach, they might as well trade every pick. The only "young guys" to get minutes for him were the 3 he inherited already playing regular minutes (Ant, Jaden, Naz).
He seems to have no ability empower young players. More like a culture of fear for the unproven.

Losing in the WCF again last year should have made them hungrier to make the leap to a Finals team. Instead it installed a false sense of accomplishment. Even though it was the easiest WCF path any team could have hoped for.

They would have more wins with Darnold, but we saw what certain defenses could do to him. Rams just did it to him again a few weeks ago. He wasn't winning a SB in MN. They would be back in Kirk Cousins territory with him. Too expensive to build a good enough team cuz he can't carry them on his back.

I can't believe that there is no waying of stopping the bulk of those turnovers. I wish I, or more importantly, the Wolves coaching staff knew how. There is something deeply rooted in this team about turnovers being an acceptable part of what happens. Even though it costs them a dozen wins a year.

I hate to be the bail on a young QB guy, but he had 2 training camps & an entire season to watch & immerse himself in the system. After a some rough games, he got to sit & learn again for several weeks. After another few starts, he seems to show no sign of growth. That's damning for a top 10 pick.
