We popped to a lovely independent book shop while we were in London called "Gay's the Word". We bought a couple of books for the kids and I saw this; the premise tickled me so I bought it.

I live on a crescent with a grassy area. Last year, and this, the council has chosen not to mow it; either in an effort to rewild or save money.

Neighbours don't like it. I, however, think it's beautiful. Long tufts of different types of grass and boundless stretches of yellow wild flowers thrive.

A relatively relaxing day with a poorly toddler who's now on the mend. ☺️

I'm just snatching a moment for myself at the nature reserve across the road (I'm so lucky to have this on my doorstep).
