I fully agree. However, that is definitely not going to happen overnight, especially on the tech front. I would imagine that almost all European countries depend on US made software right now, e.g. Microsoft.

Again, I’m not leftist. I’m not a democrat. Sorry if I don’t fit into your world view. It doesn’t matter which party does this. If you cannot see the problem in restricting media access to the WH, while misinformation run wild on SoMe, I won’t be able to change your mind. Have a good day ahead 😊

Let me say this again: The President is limiting access of media he doesn’t like, so they cannot ask critical questions. His personal friends and sponsors own some of the biggest, most powerful media in the country. This is a huge democratic problem, no matter your political standpoint.

And I disagree with your argument. Everybody has the right to speak freely, but what is being limited is the media’s ability to call out lies and misinformation from the WH. You are effectively abandoning the role of the media as guards dogs for democracy

I’m not leftist. Trump restricted AP’s access to WH, because they didn’t want to rename the Gulf of Mexico. Trump is directly, financially backed by the people leading the world’s biggest SoMe platforms. Russia is actively using these platforms to spread misinformation. That is a huge problem

For one thing, the press is being limited right now. Certain media are being excluded from WH briefings, and Bezos is limiting freedom of speech at Washington Post. Trump is taking control of your media - both convential and SoMe. That should honestly concern you a lot
