I got my solar 4 years ago and batteries 3 years ago. Helped a lot with large energy price increases. But it will keep getting cheaper, at some point you have to go for it.
The only reason I would wait is if you are going for V2H or similar.

If you do upgrade I lost Wind and Solar from the National Grid Integration. A reinstall and reboot sorted it. Could be just me though.
