To clarify, my earlier impressions were that most Urdu books are printed in a batch of 300-500 and then are left on shelves in bookstores or warehouses.

Sadness...
Though anecdotally, there seems to be a recent surge in Urdu book consumption in Pakistan with some "مشہور" writers getting more than one edition of their books printed. Hoping the trend continues...

Interesting perspective. Kanban boards come to mind. Planning meetings and sprint design etc? Essentially all meetings which have a set agenda that gets documented in minutes?
