Can you tell me why grafting is preferred? I never really understood it.

They are seeds I collected directly from a plant. I ended up putting them in some dirt outside in Feb.and as you know we've had several freezing days. So I'm hoping that did the trick. Time will tell!!

Was just reading a Laura Ingalls book and it talks about the plums blooming. Fun to see it in my feed (I've no plum bushes by me!)
