also not very good imo to reject the idea of the working class(es) as political subject, and not really coming up with an answer to well ok what's degrowth's political subject (besides academics). Chaudhary, not a degrowther but also not an orthodox socialist/marxist, is better at that

Maybe it's just that going down to the level of detailed industrial, transport etc changes makes it all the more difficult to see/express (at the top level) how overarching system change (away from capitalism) must be?

obvi many problems with capitalistic mass production, but this just pretends that artisan production inherently cannot have these problems... but it obviously would if it replaced e.g. industrial mass production of clothes
