I've been thinking lately about what is motivating the American right to do the terrible things they are doing to our country right now, and I think it mostly boils down to this uncompromising premise: "Some people deserve more rights and more freedom than others, and that group is us."

It's obvious: the people are ready to take democracy back. Town halls are spilling out the doors and protests are filling the streets. And they're scared: media won't cover it, and Trump wants to make protest illegal.

To those who see the tragedy happening in Israel as black and white: not all Palestinians support Hamas or terrorism, and not all Jews support the collective punishment being done in Gaza by the ultra right-wing Israeli govt. Many on both sides hold onto hope that peace is still possible.
