Vastly more effective and with a 40+ year head start. There are literally generations of people who believe republican lies because they'll been fed them their entire life.
Even if they are struggling, they're still more likely to blame democrats instead of acknowledging the truth.

Kind of yeah. It's incredibly frustrating. You can't reason with cultists. If Trump tells them to vote for being shot in the belly, they'll line up for it, and they be shocked when it happens to them. "When I voted for the shot in the belly party I didn't think they'd shoot me in the belly."

For all of his problems, and there were obviously a ton, at least Ford understood that having workers who could afford the products they were making was critical to building your business.
