I watched them all, then looked into it, it was just a messy attempt to end their at the time current timeline/storylines, seems they plan on doing ANOTHER reboot of the animated films.

I recommend the entire pre-Disney buy out of Star Wars novels, especially Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi.
