My personal headcanon is that the Snakes do have to eat and that the Gorgon as a whole has their brain split between each snake as a magical hivemind while the brain cavity becomes a centralized stomach for the Snakes. Then a third hole filters the contents down parallel to the airway and esophagus

I agree with this on principle. However, you underestimate my need to be visually obnoxious as well as having a tight fit
