Actually, I didn't use PayPal, but my credit card, except that it's been more than 160 days, so chargebacks are no longer possible in any case, and given the person's bad faith, I'm unlikely to see the money I spent again.

Oh dear, I used Ko-fi. I don't think it allows that. In the worst case scenario, my bank offers chargebacks. I always try to ask them if they refuse to refund me, and I fear that may be the case. Maybe I could also report it to the DGCCRF, but I doubt they can really do anything about it.
