I think the odds are in my favor.

Here's a pic from when it was in the process of being built still. We rotated the island so there was more room between it and the cabinets along the wall.

We took great pleasure in replacing ours too. This was the original when we moved in:

I managed to get a couple shots with my phone through the window when they came up to investigate the patio. I was maybe 5 feet away from them (and inside!), it was fun to watch them.
