Please stop with your "ideas", none serve any purpose whatsoever. You're making it worse for anyone currently serving when reading this. I was that young person decades ago & even now late in life I know there is no simple answer, particularly uninformed opinions from those who never served.

Im a 65 year old Veteran woman who served 20 years. When I was 19 years old I wouldn't have answers & resources, just like current military. None of your responses provide aid or appropriate deciding factors. Again, the disconnect is glaring. Are you aware of how many are currently serving?

A young service member with a spouse & young child, lives in base housing Fort where ever, asks you "what do I do". My unit is ordered to deploy to a major U.S. city & I cannot do it. Where do I go, where does my family go, we are alone in world. I want to serve, I have no resources, what do you say

You are not telling me anything, I despise all of them. My argument is how do you understand how a young military member would effect action? The disconnect of the average American who never served (93%) is huge. I refer you to the way Vietnam vets were treated in '60's & '70's.

Nor do I. What I despise is that 93% of Americans have no idea what it means to serve. What options are available to service members. What its like for that young person. Im a woman, enlisted at 17 & served 20. Quote from another reply: "Why don't they call in sick"? So clueless.

Oh goody, can you tell me how that would happen on a Navy ship? Oh, a young soldier forward deployed out of country, what do they do? Who's going to educate them on what's illegal & what isn't? Why were orders allowed in the entire chain of command? Let's hear it.

How long did you serve? Tell me how & what orders are illegal? You think every servicemember has a JAGC on speed dial? That phone number to call isn't gonna do shit for that kid. Maybe you can tell them "to call in sick" which is a response I've gotten. You're clueless, shame on you.

Exactly, that's me in front in my pic. The astounding ignorance on how the military operates, what our service members do everyday, the military is NOT a democracy.. My favorite is "Why don't they call in sick". WTAF - the disconnect is huge!

Reenlistment & recruiting. I've been telling MAGA idiots since the election what's going to occur - loss of military members who have honor, women, LGBTQ. How will they fill the ranks? I know what I surmise, GOP controlled 3 branches is all they need to reinstate a draft.
