The concept of "protecting" women's sports relies on this idea that..... they need to be protected. It relies on the idea of women being inferior. This, coupled with refusing to acknowledge trans women as women, creates an insult to every athlete.

This was immediately after he struck out to (female) pitcher Jackie Mitchell. Condescending about the abilities of women bc of his wounded pride.
