I’m very grateful I got my diagnosis. Just that there’s 4 decades of a life that I’m looking at through a different lens…which is a lot.

For now, I’m trying to be kinder to myself, reach out for support, and better embrace some of my quirks.

Strangely, my answer to this is one I encountered only a few years ago, long after I recognized I might be autistic.

It’s Oliver, the main character of the visual novel Siren’s Call. He’s explicitly autistic and it’s significant to the story.

There’s a truly staggering amount of sloppily-written bullshit on that page. I almost expected them to cite Wakefield while they were at it. I was so pissed off after reading that page that my cat came over to lay on my lap and comfort me.

“[S]ubstantial expert testimony and scientific evidence” is bullshit. There’s been no real studies of this, just like so much of transgender medicine is unknown. Those “experts” were dressing up transphobia as science.

And that organization trots out “protecting women” to cap it off 🤢
