We’d better play it down and write
a word that doesn’t have such bite
“Safeguard” looks the way to go
Its blandness won’t disrupt the flow
of wishy-washy non-committal
drivel, saying very little

Great painting.

Maybe she glimpsed a slightly unusual-looking moss a few hundred metres back, since when it's been getting to her and she's now a bit cross with herself at having walked on past it, and is wondering if it would be worth the bother of going all the way back there to check it out.

I've seen it rather greenish, or halfway between brownish and dull green, quite a lot in western Scotland and the Lake District.
