Various grotesque studies

Two studies of different grotesques. The one in the upper right portion of the page is a smooth, lizard-like, and generally typically gargoyle-shaped creature, with a somewhat leonine face. It is drawn with yellow, pink and blue highlighter overlayed with each of as shading, and heavy black pen hatching in the darkest shadows, and as sketchy line art. The second grotesque in the lower left is more overtly feline, and is drawn with a yellow/orange/red magic pencil, along with the same style of black pen shading and line art. Both grotesques are depicted with their mouths open, though the first almost seems to be smiling, while the second has a more serious expression. A highlighter and black pen sketch of a gargoyle's head. It has large, wide ears which are slightly pinned back, and it's eye and mouth are deeply shadowed. Its tongue lolls out of its open mouth, and the end of its snout has a hook to it not unlike an eagle's beak.

Some concepts for a moony painting I'm yet to fully realise

Moony wip from the last studio session. I would've gone today to continue it but the weather's been giving me a pressure headache or something 😔 have not yet figured out the best way to edit down the process video i took into a speedpaint either

A pencil bust drawing of my character Festeghet, who is part of an original species (benko). Their general shape is vaguely mouse-like, with large round ears and a long rounded snout. They are drawn in profile with one wide eye visible, looking back at the viewer. Festeghet is covered completely in loose spiral patterns, most prominent on areas with a wider unbroken surface area such as their cheek and shoulder. The spirals gradually become bolder further from their eye, eventually unraveling completely into disconnected ribbons. This effect obscures what the actual shape of their snout, ears, and torso would look like. The lowest ribbon fades out and isn't connected to anything. Handwritten in pencil is the text "Festeghet Concept #2", located a little below the sketch.

I haven't had the time or energy to prepare more postable overmorrow stuff but i have always liked how neat this paneiakei alphabet reference turned out so. Conlang be upon ye #art #worldbuilding #normalbarking ...not really sure how else to tag this one. It's the language moony speaks, though!

A pencil sketch drawing of my character Moony, who is a vaguely dragonlike creature. There is one large bust sketch and three smaller doodles along the right side of the page. The bust sketch features moony in a 3 quarter view. Moony has a long snout with a leonine nose, horns and ears like a bull, and a scruffy mane which continues into a beard. In this image their eyes are wide, with a lightly shaded sclera and iris and white pupils. They have prominent laugh lines and a somewhat serious expression. The first of the small is a simplified sketch of moony's head with their arms visible and their paws brought up to their face in shock. Two exclamation points are by their head. The second sketch is another simplified moony with an elongated face and two question marks by their head. They look confused and a little spacey. The third doodle is moony drawn in the style of the little ms paint looking guy looking back and up (couldn't find the meme name, sorry). Moony's head size has been exaggerated, and they're seated with their back facing the viewer and large eyes looking up and back at the viewer. They have wings and a tail with a tuft of fur at the end.
