Basics are not always fun, but they are important.

Every time I do this... It just renews my respect for the craft. It's harder than it looks and it's more painful as well.
Timer set to 60 seconds at the time and even tho I "only" made it through 10 minutes, my hand is feeling it. Want to try to know one of these out on a daily practice.

Got up around 3AM today and finished sketching my value shapes and skels around 5ish... been working on this on and off since then, did some chores and stuff inbetween... but now it's time for a break.

Had a ton of fun but I just need to get my head into something else... so gaming it is! Hehe.

I know it's not much... but putting in the work on a daily base, is new to me. It's harder then it looks to keep up concentration, but I don't have any expectations atm. Sometime these days I have to make a comparison piece... Something I can redraw in a few months or so, to see the difference.🤔

Well! Might as well make the best of it. Not bad for a rushed piece and a first time using this style.💚

So... basics starting today and now. Sure I'll still be doing other stuff, but I really really want to see this through. Just some practice some fundamentals. I never really learned them to a degree that I actually used them. It looks simple, but it took some time nonetheless.😅

Even tho I've been drawing - admittedly on and off - since I can hold a pencil, progress has never really started going the way I'd always hoped... So... stepping back to basics and taking in from there again. Not solely... but partly...

Curious where this is going to take me.

Not sure I'm happy with the base-color palette yet... and I am certain I'll be resketching a few designs before I settle for one... but for now, my gut tells me: You want to finish this! So maybe... just... maybe I'll be able to settle for her color scheme with this one. That would be nice. <nods>

Just a little line art, working on concept drawings for my first game project.
It starts with sketches and lines, with colors and then more sketches, notes and thoughts.

When an idea just hits you and, no matter how much your wrist is hurting today, you just have to at least bringt a sketch down...

Still have to work on my profile, I know... but when it strikes it strikes...
