For other countries they call for regime change, not destruction. That's the difference. The anti-Zionists don't care what government Israel has - it could completely change to a left-wing utopia that gives Palestinians equality - and they would still want it utterly destroyed.

When anti-Zionists screech about destroying Israel and maybe even expelling all the Jews, of course people are going to defend Israel's existence even if they don't support its current government. No other country's very existence is so routinely challenged.

I think there's a difference between supporting Israel's existence as a refuge, just in case antisemitism gets bad, and supporting Israel's current government. Many liberal Zionists fall in the first category, but categorically oppose the fascist government. They don't want Israel destroyed though.
