left is cute 40s wear. option 3 would be to do the same as ConcernedApe did and give ellie a steampunk look, though as something of a fashion nerd, i'd be biting my nails the whole time knowing that photo on the right is what women were actually wearing at the time of poe and the brontes.

i'd personally love to put her in an early 20th century style skirt + jacket. it seems the best way to feminize elliott's canon outfit while still keeping the vintage theme, though he is explicitly inspired by 1810s fashion. could also do 1940s but the tailcoat was way out of fashion by then.
