IIRC correctly it was applying varieties of capitalism theory to higher education. But then I think she went on to be a social policy lecturer so can see why you wouldn't class her an "economist"

Miatta Fahnbulleh, Jeevun Sandher, Anneliese Dodds all have economics PhDs

Can you give my subscription money her in exchange for more of this sort of top analysis?

The thing about xG is that it is a reasonably objective way of estimating how good the chances are.

I'm not taking anything away from how well City have played, think they've been exceptional and deserve to win but equally don't think Liverpool have handled them too badly overall

And worth bearing in mind essentially this game plan worked to perfection against Arsenal earlier in the season

haven't figured out how exactly.

And playing inconsistently is just what we'd expect from a team in tactical transition!

They've set up very defensively, I think that's on Slot.

I'm not saying it's Trent alone, but I'm saying that you need to fundamentally shift your tactics if you lose a player with that unique skillset. Ball progression has been an issue all season. Wirtz clearly part of the answer but they

I don't think Liverpool have been that bad, certainly played much worse this season and City have been excellent.

And not that mysterious why Liverpool are worse - it's quite a different team this season, just because of the absence of Trent, before you get to everything else that's changed.

Rest assured that I, the audience for this, have seen and enjoyed it

I've always found it hard to get my head around too.

The absurdity brought home to be by the fact people have said "You used to do X" to me using "you" to refer to both Scottish people and Indians. Quite different sides of the colonial coin!

BBC News World is so much thinner in the last few years, it's atrocious

That was the first team I saw, the one I chose to support and sent me on this wild journey!

Our xG lines don't look anywhere near as ugly in the last four either

Also seems a sub-optimal state of affairs (to me at least, everyone else seems OK with it) that stoppage time is just decided based on vibes

Now do 7 😬
