"For being a mere hallucination (as Strauss tried to reason…), Freya’s grip was impossibly strong. Painless, yes, but strong. The figure in front clicked gently, its free hand sliding just under his chin. It felt as if he were dragging his jaw across a bed of nails, the cold and sharp digits of Freya scratching underneath and trailing down. Don’t try to get away from me, little spark. Contrary to her prior, gentle tone, Freya’s current words were like steel pressed to his ears. Dangerous, threatening, and most importantly, sharp. There was no dancing around words, no flowery metaphors, to hide her intent. Plain as day - Freya was not interested in a partnership. Strauss’s breathing picked up, faster than before. He went from trying to slip away from her grasp to actively wrestling with her, fighting against her influence the best he could. He had to move, had to pull the plug, anything to ensure that Freya could not intrude any further- Strauss’s struggles shifted in intent, softly. His hands adjusted under her invisible grip, teeth grit together as he stared at Freya with contempt. If he was going to let her in… he’d much prefer to be comfortable. Freya had grabbed his hands while they weren’t ready for her. Shh, shhh… relax, little spark. I promise to be gentle."
