Magic of the new Power BI Button Slicer: the current calendar month is always selected by default.
In the video, I change the system date, refresh the report, and the slicer selection updates automatically to reflect the new current month.

This is how you create a (white) hole in a map. I think it looks like a bar chart that starts from a non-zero value.

Format pane - Properties - Tooltips - OFF
That's it. Forget "tooltip" property as well. Create your own tooltip using Vega marks and events
It can be round, transparent, it can follow the cursor or be docked on the side of the visual

A diamond in my collection of Vega Deneb Power BI templates for @data.ft.com Visual Vocabulary chart types.
This is only one chart that I thought would be impossible to implement in Vega, until I realized that it's possible to generate SVG paths using Vega expressions.
