My favorite example of late 90s video game ad edginess will always be the one for Digimon World. A bunch of elementary schoolers that enjoyed watching Fox Kids in the morning were greeted with "CAUTION: MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WHO SUCK AT VIDEO GAMES"
