I think I know the scene you're referring to. The priest's phone call scene was really moving and drew my religious friend to tears. He and I were both raised heavily Christian, and we thought the movie did a great job of criticizing religious leaders without just hating on the religion itself.

I think Prometheus and Covenant had potential, the idea of an AI questioning its own creation and wanting to create life but inadvertently creating the most deadly life form is a really cool sci-fi story. I was pleasantly surprised Romulus wasn't a retcon while also being a fun film.
