Hey, I am an artist, dog lover and avid reader. Small world, innit?
when the show leans on that, it works best, but I do think Patti Harrison’s character wasn’t wrong when she called Charlie out on her people pleasing either.

I feel like AR was the only safe place on the internet to say that Lost sucks, and not in a “later seasons are bad” way, in a ”it’s been stupid since day 1” way. But that was probably just me, EK and maybe Foggle.

My old MAGA comrade coworkers were largely obsessed with Yellowstone back at its height of pop before Costner left. It was funny seeing one of them swear off one of the spin-offs because Tim McGraw is pro-gun control, I wonder if he’s still watching any of those series now.

tbh that was always my biggest problem with the show itself, I don’t buy Lyonne as the kind of people pleaser who would try to solve every mystery that comes her way.

Speaking of Lindeolf, I tried getting into Lost again last year and still shrugged myself off of it halfway through season 1 like when it was new. I don’t get his appeal at all.

At least Paramount had Taylor Sheridan’s shows, although I guess they recently lost him too. His shows weren’t awards favorites but they were doing well with the anti-HBO crowd in a way Peacock never could.

besides Poker Face, the only other Peacock show I kinda liked was Pete Davidson’s, and that also got dropped after a season. Probably because he couldn’t/wouldn’t get Kim Kardashian or Ariana Grande on it.

No. That Lindeolf show was marketed as a miniseries and came out too soon after he got called out for racism on the Lost set to catch on and no ones watching that Office spin-off which only brought back Oscar, nobody’s favorite character.

Less-weird question time- which show would you find harder to believe a younger millennial/zoomer would not be familiar with, The Simpsons or SpongeBob SquarePants?

FMK Dale, Bill, Boomhauer

I did and it had its moments, but I felt somewhat sleazy watching it. Felt like Coppola trying to vindicate his canceled friends, especially the scene with the “underage“ pop star.

I was initially more disappointed that Mia Goth took him back, but it sounds like she’s no angel herself.

It helps that most of those DCOMs ran well into the Hannah Montana days. Even if you were too young for Lizzie McGuire you probably were familiar with Zenon.

And apparently the place Halloweentown was shot in has become a similar pilgrimage as the Hocus Pocus town for fans.

I know Christy Carlson Romano has her podcast but she’s probably better remembered as Kim Possible at this point.

I had a coworker with a similar name to Jett Jackson a while ago and sometimes referred to him as The Famous _______, which he appreciated

But yeah, that early Zoog era seems largely forgotten. You don’t even see Even Stevens brought up anymore, but that’s probably because Shia is persona non grata

Yeah, so I know that a lot of the Disney Afternoon shows did air on Disney Channel at some point, but I’m not sure about Gargoyles unless it had a brief preview phase like most of them did when it first premiered. Those shows were largely gone by Zoog, I know that for sure.

I should probably say that I meant these shows aired on these channels, they weren’t necessarily made for them.

Although in hindsight I’m not sure if one of my Disney shows actually aired on the channel. Definitely aired on Toon Disney though.

OH and one of those [as] shows aired VERY briefly on CN. Like, twice.
October 18, 2025 at 2:57 AM
I’m bored enough that I did a brief statistic check if you want to guess.

I have 4 shows on my list that aired on CN as well as 4 that aired on [adult swim], one of those aired on both. 21-25 has a day 1 [as] show.

2 shows that aired on Disney Channel

and just 1 Nick show not counting N@N.

I agree, that would have been something, but the segments as are have little value to them.

I think it’s kind of charm that the dad’s voice is a Jimmy Stewart impression for some reason.
