Cardy and Mella are elite agents of the spacefaring IET, arriving on a hostile world to arrest a notorious mind-controller.
Two agents in blue-and-white uniforms (Cardy and Mella) burst into a cave pointing weapons. Cardy: "Freeze! You're under arrest by order of the Interworld Enforcement Taskforce. We have you on charges of sedition, kidnapping, and mind control." Mella: "Put your hands in the air where we can see them." A mysterious figure is there, hidden in shadow. Figure: "So strong, so confident. Even though you're outnumbered." Cardy: "What are you talking about?" Mella: "We outnumber you two to one. You're finished." Figure: "Soma Code One. Initialize thoughtcontrol." Cardy's eyes go blank and she stands at attention, docile and ready to obey her programming. Cardy: "Thoughtcontrol accepted. How can this asset serve her controller?" Figure "Good girl. Subdue your partner and prepare her for harnessing."
