add in an inherent distrust of people and a penchant for self-isolation and you've got yourself a recipe for depression
it sucks when you're desperately lonely but also so socially awkward and afraid of approaching people you're attracted to that they assume you're either asexual or a different orientation

I've been working through it in my own weird, fucked up way I guess. trying to keep myself busy and distracted. a cycle of sleeping, working, crying, drinking, repeat.

it's also not great when you already have depression and a history of alcohol abuse but let's not talk about that part
even when you've known for months it's coming, the death of a parent is still something you're never truly prepared to deal with.

today I witnessed a terrifying encounter between a local homeless man and a poor wheelchair-bound elderly person. the homeless man, unprovoked, went out of his way to remove an obstacle out of the elderly person's path. thoughts and prayers are with the victim. something needs to be done!
