Nicholas Matta

My solo music can be found all over the place but most of it is on my bandcamp https://aux78.bandcamp.com/
5th album. 11/2003. A quote from a review."Litter"is heavy on the electronica,& the themes are angry & political."Litter"is a hard, dark welcome to Matta's brave new world, where the ethos of the current Bush administration seemingly collide with the sound and vision of Ridley Scott's"Blade Runner,"

The 4th aUx78 album released 3/2003. Here is part of an album review in 2003. “"Mystery" is a stellar example of Matta's abilities both as musician and communicator”. 909 was the first of two albums released that year and both had war themes. I made use of the Zcopier at work for the next 3yrs.

The 3rd auX78 album released fall 2002. ‘Drone’ was the first album I ever recorded fully digitally. Fostex VF16. The cover was hand painted in either black and blue or black and orange. Instrumental drone album. It has nothing to do with the thin blue line as I had no clue about that in 2001/2002

The 2nd aUx78 album released spring of 2002. There was a 2 year gap between my first and second solo album due to playing out in a band called My Trembling SeaLegs and cutting a few albums with them.‘Cardboard’ was primarily recorded on a couple of tape 4-Tracks and bounced down to Cool Edit.

The 1st aux78 album. Transmit released in spring of 2000. This album took 5 years, 3 tape 4-tracks, 2 different handheld tape recorders, and a computer at the end to make. It’s a sound collage. The cover is what used to be dishes on top of KTSM studios in El Paso TX.
