Uranium metal is usually a silvery dark grey, but it rapidly oxidizes to a black color in the presence of oxygen. On that note, fine powders and shavings of uranium can spontaneously ignite in atmosphere.

And to add, yellow cake is any powdered uranium concentrate that is an intermediary step during the processing of ores. It was originally yellow, but other colors exist depending on the composition. I have seen it be yellow, green yellow, and black. Here are three examples:
