Yall are my peeps! I wanted to say I am so excited to tell I am the newest fifth grade teacher! I will be teaching math and science or social studies. This is after a brief 14 year hiatus. I am over the moon and cannot wait!

I walked a kiddo to lunch and she had sunglasses inside. I asked her if she was wearing them because her future was so bright she has to wear shades. Nope, manga. She kept right on talking with no clue to what I was talking about. I call it being vintage and I like it.

I wrote a little tweet to send to my big red state & to whomever happens by. Then I worried and immediately deleted it because I am in a red state and work in a field where if it was not liked, it could cost me my job. I’ll gone a hint, very political.

As a teacher returning to the classroom after a break away, give a teacher a high five today. I had to go to the bathroom for 4.5 hours before I could go. That. Is commitment.
