I make sure that my #autisticadult clients lead our team meetings, even though we need to text back and forth, use AAC or rearrange the agenda.

I am in a chat room with #autisticteens who love trains. I am learning so much about types, operating speed, line length, records and design!!! My country now has a single high speed rail service called “Whoosh”. This is a to do list next time I visit!

Parents of #autistic kids need a sensory regulation toolkit as well. Do you have one? In my bag I always carry: Earplugs, metal fidget rings and lavender scented handkerchief. What’s in yours?

It’s so important to protect ourselves from triggering posts, they are bandwidth stealers & they are making us feel self-doubt. Getting into rants is not how we can solve problems. It’s a trap to distract us from our important work in building a better community.
Autistic advice on interpersonal interactions: "When you come across a heated conversation on the internet, it’s important to step back & assess the situation. Remove yourself from the situation. Even if you’re not involved, it can have a bad impact on you."

I am looking for a minimally or a non-speaking #autistic advocate who uses an AAC, spelling or other alternative communication methods to co-present with me in April. The event will be in the evening, so we both need to be available in the Pacific time zone.

What is going on politically in the US is so disheartening. I am going to continue to be stubborn. Educating any curious persons, organizations, schools, companies will continue through the platforms I built; Guiding Extraordinary Minds and Autism Career Pathways.
