I’m just a guy who loves games and animation. I’ll always be here to support you and my friends.
I can say a whole threads worth of things about Spooky’s House of Jumpscares, but this isn’t really the place for me to do that sort of thing, so I’ll leave it here for now.

I’m down to go more in depth if you ask me about it. I enjoy these kind of chats.

Endless mode brings out the most chaotic aspects of the game, and really highlights just how complex the mechanics could actually become under certain conditions.

And this isn’t even highlighting the DLC maps as those are pretty great in of themselves.

Since Endless mode allows for up to five enemies to chase you at once, the first specimen suddenly becomes one of the more dangerous enemies to encounter since his ability to slow you down can leave you vulnerable to the more faster and stronger enemies paired with it.

To give a bit of an example, the main story only allows for one at a time, and the first specimen you encounter has the perk of slowing you down in several halls. This is a pretty easy one to understand for beginners, but it adds a lot of challenge in the other mode.

The specimens, however, are what ultimately changes the flow of said gameplay as each enemy has their own unique take on this, both in their behaviors and actions.

This blends surprisingly well on its own, but also adds an extra layer of challenge in Endless mode.

It’s a massive love letter to horror as a whole as each specimen takes a direct inspiration from both classic games to folklore tales, but this is not the only thing that it does so well with them.

The gameplay itself is rather simple in practice, with you just going down hallways and then some.

Spooky’s House of Jumpscares fills a particular itch from the horror genre I didn’t know I was going to enjoy as much, and that’s pretty impressive for what can be called a walking simulator.

Ode to Castlevania is probably going to be the best representation of the Castlevania series I’ll ever see in my lifetime. Far better than something like Smash Bros. was able to accomplish.

At no point did I ever felt like I wasted my time, and that’s the best thing you can do in a game.

Oh!

That sounds cute.

What else didn’t I know?

That’s good to hear. I’ve been doing okay so far.

You can? I didn’t know that.
