Describe your setting from the POV of the person whose head you are in in the scene. So if that person is not interested in art, they wouldn’t know the name of the artist whose painting is on the wall. They may not even notice the painting. But they would note the telescope in the room and its make

I love this phase - when the story is just appearing and I’m getting to know my characters. Some day in the future I may get stuck and need to come out of the murky middle but today is a good day to be a #writer
