I used to think Newsom worked in California, but not for the whole country—kind of the way DeSantis works in Florida but his run for president never garnered many votes.

He knows what benefits him politically (#1).
Or
He loses his cool and does what's right, like when he fought for the gay marriage.(#2)

Nope, I'm just me. I mean, my 1st two books were considered literary fiction and I have a 3-book series that is contemporary, chick lit, women's fiction rom-com. . . whatever that is. Same author name, just all over the place.

In British slang, "tosser" is a derogatory term for an unpleasant or stupid person.

The 39th Vice President of the United States was Spiro Agnew. He served under President Richard M. Nixon from 1969 until he resigned in 1973. Agnew was the 2nd person to resign from the vice presidency, with the 1st being John C. Calhoun

I grew up in one of California's abundant agricultural valleys. Everyone I went to school with attempted to work a summer in the fields or packing sheds. We all failed. ALL OF US. This back-breaking, thankless work.
