Book reviewers: If your book arrives damaged, with bent pages, a missing dust jacket, or a folded cover, do NOT fault the author for that. Their book doesn't deserve a 1-star rating when they have no control over the print quality of the book distributor. Thank you for attending my TED Talk.

Happy Monday everyone! Here's a meme to start your week off, hopefully better than lil' Stolas.

Wolf's Flower is coming out January 2026!
If you like stories with Fated Mates, Alpha Heirs, Night Clubs, Begging, and a pesky cult this is a book for you!

Gideon Reeves is protective of his mate in a "Touch her and I'll unalive you," so when he sees her at a cafe with another man, he knows there's only one thing he can do. Is he mistaken, though? Perhaps he's reading the situation all wrong.

Wolf's Flower FMC, Evelyn Aldrich! At 5'5, her mate Gideon towers over her, but she's not intimidated by him. Her traumatic background leads her to be compassionate and loyal to her friends. She may not want to be Gideon's mate, but what's the harm in a bit of fun before she leaves the city forever?

I finished the rough draft of the novellette and even made a cover for it! My goal is to have it out in October on KU, so people have a few months to read it before I release the main book. So excited!

Over 6k words into the prequel, and I'm world building things that change small details of the main book. I feel like I'm enriching the world by giving it a past. This idea is either genius or going to fall flat on its face. Only time will tell.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea for advertising, but I’m writing a prequel novelette/novella for Wolf’s Flower. I figure people can get to know the characters and sample the story before committing to the full book.

What do you think?

Wolf's Flower MMC! Gideon Reeves is a staggering 6'7" Scorpio with White hair and Gold eyes. As the heir to the Grove pack Alpha, he doesn't know how to handle a human mate. So when she rejects him he has to pull out all the stops to win her heart once and for all or lose her forever.

He hated school. Only went because his father demanded it. He may have been happier with a different degree but as the "future Alpha" he had to get what would serve the pack best.

She liked school well enough but is happy to have graduated now so she can work with underprivileged children.

Now that I'm planning to publish early next year I've decided to go over my debut novel once more for edits. Can there be too much editing? I feel like I might be getting to that point.

Sent my book to my Kindle last night to see what it will look like for my readers. Other than the "chapter" header being huge, it looked great! Now, just a few more tweaks, a few weeks of hype, and I might just be ready to publish.

Do you tell people in your life that you're a writer? I tell some friends but definitely not my coworkers. I don't want to have to explain knotting.

I loved reading 'Animorphs' as I was growing up. I remember picking up #8 on the way to see a movie and developing the biggest crush on Ax. I devoured the whole series, and was so sad when it ended.

I love a good villain. A great villain can have more nuance than a hero. Then if the author can make you cheer for the villain, maybe even make you sad about their inevitable defeat, then they've achieved something incredible. And it's *chef's kiss* when the complex villain gets the girl.

Who also carries a little notebook around to jot down tidbits when they're out and about? Do you use a shorthand? I use some shorthand from the medical field just to speed things up.

Dark romance authors: When you started writing, did you have a revelation about how dark your fantasies can go? Like discovering new triggers you're ok with. That's happening with me.

As you can tell, I am not a professional, but when my husband asked me to create a mock-up of a cover to submit to a professional artist, I was eager to do it for him. So here's the basis for his WIP's cover! It's not perfect, but I am still proud.

Not me, a millennial, wishing we could catch a break from the stressful world-ending nonsense we've been through since Y2K.

I just want to write my books and not have to worry about someone killing my family with missiles or nukes. Is that so hard to do?

At what point do you create a new pen name for a new genre? I will primarily write paranormal romances, but I am also working on a very dark romance novella. Do I stick with one pen name or create another and hustle/promote twice as hard?

While Wolf's Flower sits on the to-be-published shelf until I'm able to dedicate more time to promoting it I've started on a dark romance novella. Here's hoping I'm able to finish it!

I'm very guilty of this - thank goodness it's a rough draft!
