Pleasantly surprised my home state of Oklahoma hasn’t banned more books. I guess they just threaten it but don’t bother to actually do it 🤷🏽♀️

You could try having the people be named after the city they live in, so like people from Sando are Sandoians. So you still keep the concept, but it's not confusing for readers. Maybe the people who receive these visions are viewed as blessed, and each peoples believes they are the blessed ones?
