Yes! I had a few people trying to fight me on this and I just wanted to ask if they were indie authors because obvs not since they didn’t understand why we can just leave amazon!

Unfortunately the author doesn’t get that money, goodwill does which I can’t say is any better than Amazon getting it 😅

That happened to me once and I wrote to customer service and they cancelled my subscription and refunded me! Worth a shot!

It’s not so much about the ease as the affordability, but I do agree that if it’s possible to go a different route we should - so when I can afford to, I will 💙

Unfortunately it’s not as simple as just switching platforms (which there aren’t many affordable options for us indies) but someday I hope to have the means to leave Amazon

I understand this, however affordability is a BIG part of what lets people become authors who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to 💙

Unfortunately ingramspark (in my own experience) took more money/ had more costs involved and wasn’t as user friendly as Amazon - I have my books on my website and B&N, but a lot of people can’t

That’s what I’m saying - to not stop buying indie books on Amazon if it’s the only place they’re available, because then you’re hurting authors not specifically Amazon 💙

Yes! Some people can’t afford to have their own sites or keep their own stock of books 💙💙

But also don’t forget to support indie authors who may only be able to publish through Amazon 💙💙💙

I gave them up when they chose not to support a free Palestine and I’m so happy because they keep being crappy 💩
